Grosvenor Road Design New Badges

In Grosvenor Road Juniors, the Bible and the Badge have always been important elements in our meetings. Recently, we were thinking about the CE Badge and the various designs that have been around since CE was founded. Round ones big and small, some shield shaped and even one in the shape of just the letters CE, that my Grandfather wore and which I am proud to wear now. Talking to the kids it became clear that they loved wearing their badges because it showed they were part of CE, but there was a need for a updated design to which they could relate. The new design should include the new CE logo and reflect the changes in CE in recent years. As no new badge was available, we asked the children to help design one. In their designs, they drew pictures of the Bible, the Cross, Music, the World, Games and ‘CE is cool’. So many different ideas, all reflecting the various activities that are part of CE for them. Taking all their ideas together with the new CE Logo, one of our past members used his artistic talents and came up with a new CE badge design and at the craft night last week, the children were able to make their own new badges with a badge making machine.
